Quarrying

At the age of 21, with the encouragement and trust of his father, Mr. Shamsudheen, and his family, Jameel was given the opportunity to enter the quarrying business.
What followed were three demanding years of persistence, consistency and relentless effort. The business brought its own challenges and uncertainty, requiring him to learn, adapt and remain committed through every stage.
That persistence and consistency helped shape the quarrying operation into a recognised business in the Palakkad region.
Opportunity may be given, but credibility has to be earned.
Chapter 02
Hospitality
His next opportunity came in hospitality.
The family’s hotel project in Kozhikode had been under development for several years and was still in the process of completion. Jameel stepped in with the intention of first completing the project itself.
With his father’s blessing and financial support, he took responsibility for the project. What followed was nearly two years of consistent effort, close involvement and persistence to bring the building towards completion.
As the hotel neared 90% completion, the original plan was still to lease it to an established hospitality brand. At that stage, Jameel approached his father once again — this time with a different idea: instead of handing the hotel over to another operator, why not build and run their own hospitality company?
The idea was not accepted immediately. But Jameel remained convinced, and in time, his father agreed and gave him the opportunity to take it forward.
Still in his early twenties and with no previous experience in hospitality, Jameel took on the challenge of building the business from the ground up.
Capital was essential to build the hotel, and equally important was giving it a soul. Jameel brought different departments together and aligned them under one clear vision — his own.
Building that kind of coordination in a new hotel was never easy, but Tiara became exactly what he had envisioned and went on to establish itself as the No. 1 hotel in Calicut.
For Jameel, that is entrepreneurship — bringing together capital, experienced people and execution, and turning a vision into a business with a soul.

Chapter 03
Real Estate
Having gained experience across quarrying and hospitality, Jameel once again approached his father with a new ambition — to enter real estate.
That opportunity became Indriya Realtors.
For Jameel, Indriya represents more than another business venture. It represents the responsibility of carrying forward the foundation created by the generation before him while building an identity, culture and standard of its own.
His vision for Indriya is long-term and ambitious: to build the company over the coming years into one of the most respected real estate brands in Tamil Nadu and, ultimately, South India.
Every established venture has a story that began long before its success became visible.
A story shaped by early beginnings, years of experience, evolving responsibilities, calculated decisions, and the determination to turn possibilities into realities.
From the foundations of building materials to the world of hospitality and the evolving landscape of real estate, each chapter represents more than an expansion into a new industry.
It reflects the experience gained, the challenges navigated, and the vision carried forward. Each venture, each with its own identity, yet each carrying something deeply personal, a part of the ambition, dedication, and years invested in bringing it to life.
What began as a pursuit of possibilities has grown into a legacy still taking shape. One built not merely through businesses, but through the decisions, relationships, and experiences that give them meaning.
